The Realization

1 min read
Angels, the protection we need, to keep the demons at bay.
It embodies all things great and good, making us good people.
Demons, the infection we hold within.
It swallows everything bad and evil, giving us our pain and suffering.
Funny thing, the both of them, we need both.
You see without the demons, angels have no reason to stay around.
Without the angels, demons can forever devour us to the core.
They work hand in hand, we don't see it but it's there.
You see, we need the demons to keep the angels too.
You let go of the demons, the angels leave too.
Don't let the best of you go just because the bad part is there.
You need both the blessing and the curse to become stronger.
You them both to push your way to the top.
You need them both to show you are not a failure.
You need them both to better yourself.
Demons and angels are apart of us, regardless of our thoughts and feelings.
Embrace them both.
They are what make you, you.

From death comes new life
In it’s darkest days
The flower, finally in it’s prime
Through tough and harsh weather
Shows it’s beauty for all to see
Beauty seen then suddenly gone

Having fully flourished before death has come
The flower sprouts it’s seeds
Giving new life to what once was nothing
Growing to yet another stunning sight
Again showing it’s love in all
From death comes new life once more

The boy, you see, he developed a little thing called an imaginary friend, or so they thought, always helped him through his hard times, after his grandfather’s death. This friend was female; he played all day and all night if possible. He created unimaginable things with her. One his mother found out about this girl and tried so hard to make him believe she wasn't real. The thing was she was real, or in a way she was, she was a spirit attached to him at birth, she just never appeared because she knew the boy needed help. That night, the boy asked there spirit if she was real or not. She hesitated to tell him, but soon she revealed to him that she was only his protector. This change everything for the boy, he never talked to her in front of anyone, he told his mom that the girl disappeared but he knew that if he told someone about her, they would hurt her. As life went on, his grandfather almost became a distant memory, his mother became a horrible drinker, his stepfather mistreated him, his uncles left to another place far from him, his father would visit him and occasionally take him. His life got harder by the day, the only comfort he had was the girl. "I know your there, can you please help me take away the pain, I want to be just like you, I want to be with you," the boy wanted out of this horrible world. A few years after the passing of someone beloved, another event happened in his life. His mother drank more heavily, causing his stepfather to take advantage, abusing him even more. Until one day his aunt revealed to him that, he was special, he had an enormous amount of power and something more dangerous inside, almost attached to the soul, Chloe, his protector, he tried everything in his will to draw out the power inside him, nothing. A couple days afterwards he managed to do it when his sisters were in trouble, neighborhood bully. When he found out that the ones bullying them, he confronted them. The three were already 18 years old while the boy was 11. Beaten to a pulp, the boy never gave up, he pushed and pushed himself to keep fighting, at almost his last breathe, Chloe grew fierce and every ounce of anger poured, uncontrollably into the strength he needed. He stands to his feet, bloody, thrashed, torn apart, he fought back. But what he didn't realize, was the fact that he almost killed the boys, Chloe awoken his consciousness and the boy ran home, terrified at what he had done. The whole night no one asked or comforted him on anything. Chloe was the only one there for him, that night. Chloe learned a way to heal the boy, his scars healed while he slept and when he woke up, they didn’t hurt at all. After another day the boy learned to use the curse bestowed upon him. Chloe of course helped him, he learned to heal himself, he learned to withdraw the strength inside, he learned how to talk to communicate with animals. He also learned to sense and see demons and bad souls still alive. With the power he had he could do many things, but chose to hide it from everyone around him. He shut everyone out, including his parents. Another day at school, friends came to him, but he never spoke to them, so he lived almost his whole life like that, until he met a girl, she was the only one that brought the best out of him, she was the choice that he needed to make, she helped through his hard times. It almost was a life worth living until his mother started to beat him too. Chloe had done everything in her power to keep the boy well, he was hurt a lot and needed a lot of time to heal. Eventually Chloe had to rest, she slept for almost three month, he managed on his own, trying to let Chloe sleep and regain her power. Chloe and the boy were always supporting one another. By the time she woke, the boy had turned into something horrible, he’d cut and cut to make the pain go away, he asked Chloe to help him sleep forever. She couldn’t do it, she wanted what was best for him and so she only healed him and blinded the pain from his mind. Growing up, the boy soon grew into a man and finally, he was almost on his own.

There are no names in this story do to lack of characterization, I'm truly sorry but its for the best. I will tell you the characters trait just no names. There were always stories of fairy tales and a lot of fantasy kind of things. This story will be a little different, about a boy who became a man faster than he should have. You see this boy was a special type of kid, he had something dark and special inside him. This boy could not survive without it. People treated him mean until he was able to fit in. This boy came to a point in his life when the tables turned for the best. His life was nothing but pain and suffering, but before i get to that we need a beginning for the story.
Turning around to face his step father he knew, from  the look in his eyes that something had happened that. Just getting home from school the little boy had plans that day but when he heard the news of what had happened everything had changed. His step father came close and looked the boy in the eyes, not knowing how to put words in order for the boy to understand. "Your grandfather was in an accident," his step father said. The boy looked around him and saw no one around but his step father. He couldn't believe it, he thought it was a joke then his mother called. Hearing the news from his mom was a totally different story. He knew what death was but at the time he had nothing in his mind to remind him of what it was. The boy the started to cry, his grandfather meant everything to him and he thought that old man would live forever to take care of him. Now crying he looks at the step father and wanted comfort. Now, this story is the worst to me still but this is only the beginning. The boy couldn't sleep that night, his grandfather was that important to him. "I love you grandpa, please hear me up there, I wanted you to be the one to help through life." Life, that word is painful to people but to others its comfort, this boy felt his whole world crumble before him. The boy felt lonely for the first time.

Sorry guys but I have to end the story here, I will update when i have the chance. Thx for reading if you do leave a comment on what i did wrong or if its an okay story. Thx again bye.

You know, the people of earth would have never guessed that the world would be saved by a mere little boy. The story behind this legend begins with a very curious and cautious little fellow, always looking for signs of danger that may turn out to be a sign of close death in his presence. Starting with a small village called “Granderail,” which was home to an evil entity that whirls and builds up in what was at once a good man. The boy’s name was “Takesta,” given to him by his father; his father gave it to him based his actions. In the language that this village speaks “Takesta” meant always aware, which meant that he was always alert of his surroundings and kept track of his things in the right order. Granderail was the place he was raised and grew up in. The season of the “Haressin,” a very big, hairy mammal hunted for food and clothing, has come around for their time to be useful again. These mammals came every once a bright moon, the full moon. It was Takesta’s first season to hunt with his father and he didn’t know anything about hunting, in fact he didn’t even want to do it, he kept his distance every season. Takesta wasn’t ready for his first kill, but according to his father, “Hagard,” if he were to live on earth he would need to be able to hunt for the greater good of the village. As everyone was gathering and stringing their bows to hunt, Takesta was practicing in the woods with all he had put together such as, a target made from a flatten piece of wood, arrows made from sticks he found as he walked into the forest, and a bow made by his mother, it was a beautiful piece of work. The bow was made out of one of the strongest trees in the area. It was a bit shabby but when strung it worked well, on both sides of the bow contained the symbol, in which will protect him or he thought. While he stands there pulling an arrow to the bow, taking a breath, slowly letting it go, he let the arrow fly. The arrow flies straight, Takesta stood frozen watching and hoping to hit target, a long pause as the arrow flew, the arrow hits the ground, typical.
Hagard was prepping when he realizes that his son was nowhere around. Meanwhile Takesta was nearly about to give up when a little old, dirty man, wearing nothing but some old torn and patched up clothes and a stick for walking, came up to Takesta. “You have no idea what you are destined for little boy,” this old, unknown man said to Takesta in a very high toned voice. “Who are you talking about destinies when this boy here can’t even get a single shot on that very target there,” Takesta pointed to the hanging target. “It is not the skills you must possess in this world, it is what is inside you that is used to defeat something very evil,” the old man points in the direction of the village, “you may soon be the defender of that village there.” Takesta had thought about what the man has said. He turns to face the man but all he turns to is a tree trunk, and on that trunk was a very small blue amulet. He picks it up, just as he holds it in his hand he hears a sound, he turns to face his father without any sudden movements he slowly puts the amulet in his pocket. “Takesta what are you doing in the woods all by yourself, you know there are dangers in these woods, and you’re not even ready for the hunting this evening.” Now get on home and get ready, I’ll meet you at the house soon.” Without another word Takesta walks off quickly, leaving his father, looking back he quickly turns around to get the target he had left behind. Making sure his father doesn’t see he takes it and runs home. Hagard was still standing there, but soon sat down on the trunk. He sits there thinking, “what am I going to do with that boy, he can’t even see where he is shooting,” sitting there for longest time, he looks around at the arrows Takesta had left stuck in the trees. “What am I going to do, the gods got to help on this one.” Meanwhile Takesta had just reached home, putting down everything he had in his hands, he picks up his food from a wood cut table. His mother, “Martha,” walks in to the kitchen, “what did you do today son,” she said in the most beautiful voice. “I was,” pausing to find a good excuse for being gone for so long, he, finding a good excuse, says, “I was looking at where I could make traps for the squirrels.” “Ohh is that right, I thought I saw you take your bow and arrows this morning.” “ I took it for safety cautions, you know with all the danger out there in the woods.” He said hesitantly waiting for a response. “Well is there any good places for a trap,” she looked at him suspiciously. “Yeah there are a few parts of the woods that I found,” he said with caution hoping he didn’t make it too obvious that he was really trying to learn how to shoot. His father finally returns, the boy looks to his father, but all he could see are the arrows that he had left behind. He turns around to look at his mother and she is just looking at him with a smile. For some reason all that Takesta could get out was faint sound, “heh.”
The hunters had gathered around a small fire it about close to the afternoon and Hagard had given him two item, a smooth hand crafted bow with a quiver with arrows as straight as can be. He turns to his father opening his mouth to say something; he was interrupted by a very short boy about the same age as Takesta. “Hi, my name is Tukumsa I am very pleased to meet you,” waiting for a response he looks at Takesta. “Umm I’m Takesta it’s nice to meet you too,” he says looking at his father that was very pleased to see that Takesta had made a friend, “Umm do you know what exactly what we are supposed to be hunting.” “Haressin, they are big, hairy looking creatures that are vicious and mean. Takesta stood there puzzled and confused trying to picture what they might look like if you actually see one. “Is this your first season hunting too,” Tukumsa said to him. “Yes it is and I can’t really aim right, at least not yet,” he turns to try and show him what he is talking about, aiming at the jars of rum all lined up in a row. He pulls one of the arrows out of the quiver given to him. He puts into the right position, pulls it back, taking a deep breath, then waiting, Tukumsa says, “well,” Takesta lets the arrow go. Unexpectedly he looks at what it hits, everyone turns to look. The arrow had hit the jar of rum not just one but all of them. He turns around to everyone and looks at them, all of them were surprised that the one who has done things wrong for so wrong had finally got a shot. His father was very pleased to see that his son actually did that. Turning to the boy that he had just met, he thinks about how he had made that shot, when he couldn’t even get one in the woods. “To me it looks like you can get an aim on things,” Tukumsa said surprised to see that he shot it when he had just said he couldn’t get one shot. Takesta was still thinking, when he realizes that he still had the amulet in his pocket. Everyone was getting ready to get the hunting started, when Takesta faces toward a tree in the woods at least ten feet away. Again he pulls another arrow out and aligns it up, he takes a deep breath, and lets go as expected it hits tree, at which aimed at.
Everyone got ready to take off into the fields of which the haressin graze. The signal was given that the haressin were pushed into the right position for hunting. Without another word or action they all take off and started after the haressin. They each aim their arrows including Takesta, and release at will, there were at hundreds of haressin were hit, but were not killed at all as expected every season. Takesta was very surprised that with one hit the haressin that he had aimed at was on the ground trying to breath, due to the arrow to the heart it eventually dies. He takes aim again and releases and another one was on the ground. By the time it was dawn there was at least thousands were dead, and the person that made it possible was Takesta. Hagard was very pleased to see what he had done. In fact everyone was very pleased to see that. Tukumsa walks up to Takesta and says, “Wow I never knew you knew how to take down a whole herd, we got enough meat for two seasons,” he said how it was possible for one person to take thousands of haressin out. Everyone had celebrated after, but Takesta had not joined them on how much they had collected, instead he turns to the woods to find out if it really was the amulet doing all this. Before he could disappear in the woods, Tukumsa followed him into the woods, not knowing he was being followed he kept walking farther into the woods. Soon he came to the very spot he had practiced that morning, taking out his bow and arrows he also set up some targets to shoot at, when he heard a snap sound from behind. Turning to see what it was, he came face Tukumsa. “What are you doing out here in the woods when everyone in the village is celebrating for what you done for us.” “Umm….im just trying to….uhh…” thinking of another excuse of why he’s out in the woods, “I was just looking for some plants that are useful for stew for dinner.” He said with a very quiet voice. “Ohh well ill help you find some,” he said as he looked down at the ground realizing that there is nothing useful here. Without another action he said, “We aren’t in the right place, if you want to find some you need to look for animal tracks.” Takesta questioned, “Why is it animal life that you got to look for.” Tukumsa looks at Takesta very strangely, thinking why he doesn’t know. The animals live near plant life so they can survive with what is edible to eat, right.” “Yeah,” agreeing with him, soon after they are searching the woods for some plants to use, when all of a sudden a grunt was given three feet from where they are. “Did you here that, it sounds like a grunt from that direction,” pointing to where they had heard it, Takesta continued, “Let’s find out what that was.” Moving very slowly toward the grunt Takesta takes out an arrow positions it on the bow, aiming at the place from which it came from. They heard another sound this time it wasn’t a grunt it sound like a faint “help,” so they look over a ledge and see what appeared to be a man all scarred from what may have been a wolf. “Should we help him or do we stand here watch him die,” Tukumsa says with a frightened voice, “what do we do?” Takesta looks around to see if it would be a trap, nothing at all, so they go down to help the man. “Help me the man repeated over and over, soon the two kids come to where the man could’ve been laying for three days. “We are here to help you, just hold on we will take you to a village up over that ledge and through the trees,” Takesta told the man while trying to help him up to his feet.
Later on that night Hagard was surprised to see that Takesta and Tukumsa were helping the old man, supporting him because he couldn’t support himself. Without a word said, Hagard took the man and laid him on the table which they ate from. “H-hope…h-hope….is what…you n-need…now,” the man said to everyone there. Then after that it was silent, “what were you doing in the woods, you there are things in there we don’t know about,” Hagard said with fiery. “We were out gathering some plants for your supper tonight, right Takesta,” Tukumsa said frightened of the father. Although Takesta knew the real reason he agreed with him. Hagard said with a worry for his son’s life, “well make sure you don’t do it again.” “Grab him and give him a proper burial and we’ll have to take caution for what the man was talking about. The men start obeying orders and as for Takesta, he was determined to find out what the man was talking about.
It is now the next day and not a person was talking about what had happened that night. “Hey,” Tukumsa said when he successfully snuck up on Takesta. “Hey,” he replied. “What a night we had last night, right,” Tukumsa said while picking up a stick and hitting the tall grass that stuck out of the ground higher than the others. That’s when Takesta took off into the woods again; Tukumsa looks at him and then follows later. What are you doing, you’re not supposed to be coming here remember,” Tukumsa said wondering why he had gone in. “There has to be an explanation for what had happened last night, from where we found the man, and I’m going to find out why he died,” Takesta said determined to find that out. They soon came to the place where they found the man. They searched the whole place high and low, yet they could not find one thing to give a hint what happened to the man. They come upon a part of the land they have not searched yet, at least ten feet from where the man was found. It was a cave deep within the valley. “You’re not thinking of going in there are you,” Tukumsa said frightened of what they might find inside the cave. Without replying Takesta walking into the cave noticing that he had left his bow and arrows, he picks up a very sturdy stick, the was going to be used as a weapon. He walked in deeper into the cave, Tukumsa following right behind Takesta. “What do you think is in there,” Tukumsa says with worry in his voice. Takesta sees that the cave gets darker and darker, so he goes back out and tries to find something that can be used to light the way, when he finds a used torch, and he lights it on fire and goes back in the cave, the cave was bright enough to see now. “why are you doing this, what if there is something in there that we are not supposed to see at all, then what will we do then,” Tukumsa said worried about what might be luring in cave. “I don’t care if there is something in there; I need to find out what made that man die last night,” Takesta replied back. Soon after that they heard what seemed to be a roar from within the cave. They both look at one another, and then go back to the cave. They hear the noise again louder than last time, because they were deeper than last time. “What is that, I don’t think this is a good idea,” Tukumsa says trying to persuade Takesta to turn around. They were deeper than ever, it started get lighter; they realized that the light was coming within the cave. Takesta then puts out the one he was holding, until he hears a roar again. They came to a platform that peered into caves core. They look over the edge that was there, seeing that there was an old city that goes deeper in the cave. The light was coming from the very bottom of the cave. They take a corridor to the right of them; they soon come to a cave full of gold and silver. Tukumsa was fascinated by the gold and silver that glistened in his eyes. “What or who brought this here,” Takesta said curious about what lures in the cave. They step down into the corridor and look around; Tukumsa was putting some gold in his pocket, while Takesta looks at something very thin and shiny. He took the handle and pulls it out, it was a sword, crafted with very weird designs and then realizes one specific one, it was the one his father had on his middle finger. He wonder, if there is more to the mystery of the man who died last night and why his father was acting weird for the past few days. He realizes that the man was also caring the same seal, as the sword and his father. They both hear the roar get louder than the last one. He takes the sword and puts down the stick he had brought with him. Another roar was heard from the next corridor, but on the left to this time. They both peer in and to them it looked horrible. It was huge, red, and it had light green eyes. It was something they had never seen before. Something so horrifying that it made your heart beat faster than a normal human’s would. It looked directly at them and without them being seen they go around the corner. “What is that it’s not from here, it is not going to stay in this cave forever, we have to tell everyone else about this thing,” Tukumsa said when he got interrupted by Takesta, “we can’t say a thing about this do you know what my father would happened to him if he heard that this thing is here and is just sitting here waiting to be brought out into the world.” “I know this is not from this world, but we mustn’t tell anyone, got it.” They then decide to head home while they still had their lives.
Later on that day, they both are in the woods still. Until they come to the village, but when they arrived there was no village, but burned up houses. Hagard came out from one of the houses that looked like it was barely lit. “Father!” Takesta said happy to see that his father was still alive. “What happened here, who did this,” Takesta got interrupted by his father, “who, it was a what,” “It had red skin, light green eyes and it was taller than the trees that grow around here. As they listened they looked at one another, wondering if they should tell him. Takesta speaks up, “there is a cave in deep within the woods, inside the valley. And inside the cave is something like you have explained.” “Why were you in the woods again, you know what I said remember, I specifically told you not to go in the woods again,” said Hagard very mad at the boys. The two boys look down at the ground wondering why they had gone into the woods.
